Hunter Class News
HMYC Hunter Class has been "on hold" during the local off-season.
Was up at the Club a short while ago and caught sight of the results of some of our class members' efforts during the break in activities.
If some of the 'little boats' sail as good as they look, then we're in for some great sailing during the new season !!!!

Recent Masthead newsletter publications appear to indicate a new energy and direction for HMYC.
Really exciting to see.
Congrats to the new HMYC Committee under the leadership of Commodore Richard Solomon. They're already putting in the effort.....it's up to the members to get involved.
Paul Changuion and Co have created a new-look website with Facebook and Blog applications. Visit the website at www.hmyc.org.za and check it out.
All the info and news required is available on the website. Stay informed!!!!!!

She is on the dry and on a road trailer available immediately.
Do you know of someone who might be interested??
The only reason I am selling it is there is no other competition in our club and to compete I had to upgrade.
I have upgraded to a Theta and need to sell my Hunter urgently. My price is negotiable. I would prefer to sell it to someone who is passionate about Hunters and is really keen to sail.
I have had numerous replies from Gumtree but they are not Hunter sailors.

2010/2011 SAILING SEASON OPENING CRUISE
This is the first of what we hope will form part of the new
social scene at the club.
We are very pleased to advise that we have appointed Debbie
as the full time caterer at the club and we warmly welcome her back.
The canteen will therefore be open on all race days and as soon as the liquor license is finalised (within the next three weeks we hope) the pub will also be open and Debbie will have control of this as well.
We ask that all club members take advantage of this positive action and that they support both the Club, Pub and of course, Debbie.
We want the vibe to be a friendly social one, very family orientated and this can only happen if we take advantage of the new facility.
We hope to see as many of you as possible at the opening cruise and on subsequent weekends.
BE THERE – MAKE A DIFFERENCE !!

(Don’t forget to bring your water pistols)
Cruise to the far end of the Dam, Raft Up and be ferried ashore
Braai or take a Picnic lunch/ Braai fires will be provided
Leisurely cruise home
Debbie and Jonathan will be catering for the event, and are offering braai packs (a choice of Minted Lamp Chop and Boerewors OR
Steak and Chicken Kebab), Mixed Salad, Potato Salad,
Rolls and Butter for R60.00 per person

Sailing calendar 2010 - 2011 released
The HMYC 2010 - 2010 calendar is now live on the website: www.hmyc.org.za
You can download a fridge version, which is a simple one pager printed in PDf or a more detailed PDF of all details.
There is also the Google calendar on the website which can be used to quickly view what is one and has been populated for the entire season. If you notice any changes that need to be made please do hesitate to contact Paul Changuion to have the correction made.
