Results have been posted on www.hmyc.org.za . Day started out with 0 to nothing then switched to dam wall and settled in to a light to moderate breeze. 3 back to back races were sailed .
Dynamite clear ahead each race but were just pipped by Joe and Tim on handicap. So well done to the Phillips'. They won the day and also ahead on hunter trophy and silver fleet trophy.
Later on there was a mother of all storms . Scary stuff with Campbell and the Ross's still out. All arrived back safely but unfortunately a Flamenca washed up on rocks.!Sad to see .

9hr - 2nd March
Your Club is currently busy with the preparations for the 2013 HMYC 9 Hour race, which is the major event on our sailing calendar. The race will take place on Saturday 2nd March, with registration also taking place on the afternoon of Friday 1st March. Running this event requires assistance from a lot of helpers, and we are looking to our members for this. Any assistance which can be provided for this event will be much appreciated.
If you have a large gazebo with sides and would allow it to be used as a Medical tent for the 9 Hour, please can you either e-Mail Brenda at rbt@sai.co.za, or else phone her on 082 821 3029 – please phone after 5-00pm?
Also, if you can help in any way with either the 9 Hour recording, or with the registration of competitors on either Friday 1st March or Saturday 2nd March, please will you also let Brenda know? We keep the recording shifts at about two hours each and need quite a few people to record the boat numbers and times when the boats complete each lap.
Your Club is still looking for sponsors for the 9 Hour – either a cash donation or prizes would be much appreciated. If you know of anyone who can assist with this, please can you ask them to contact Brenda using the contact details as above?
