Fun weekend at Giants Castle, the club tried this at Injusuti a number of years ago and we had a great weekend, cricket , ambling up the mountain paths, birding, bathing in the river pools for the hardy, campfire at night and generally doing as you please.
Our old friend Matt Jackson has set aside the campsite for our exclusive use (approximately forty campers with a bit of ablution sharing). Those who wish a bit more comfort can book into the main resort chalets; they are really lavish with magnificent views of the valley and mountains. There is also the restaurant which serves satisfactory meals at a reasonable price. The cost per camper is R40.00 inclusive of entrance fee and the chalets are R420.00 per person, per night inclusive of entrance fee, those who have Golden Rhino cards, will be given a 40% discount when booking. A further attraction for photographers is the vulture hide, but this will cost R215.00 per person, booking is essential because the hide is in great demand due to the excellent sightings at the moment. Please find the attached camping form, fill it in and get it back to me as soon as possible so I can confirm all arrangements with Matt. For further information and directions to Giants Castle please do not hesitate to contact me on 033-3442182 or e-mail me at robbell@ushomi.co.za.
